One person has now filed nominating petitions for a seat on the Madison Central School Board.  Business Manager Mitchell Brooks said that Richard Avery of Madison has filed his petitions for one of the two seats open on the school board this year.  School board members serve three year terms.  

One person has also filed nominating petitions for a seat on the Madison City Commission.  Patrick Mullen filed his petitions on Monday for one of the two seats open on the commission this year.  Three others have taken out nominating petitions for the Madison City Commission election, including incumbent commissioners Jeremiah Corbin and Kelly Johnson, as well as Jerae Wire.  City commissioners also serve three year terms.

The deadline for anyone interested in filing nominating petitions for either the Madison City Commission or Madison Central School Board election is February 28th.  The joint city and school board election is scheduled for April 14th.
