Area lawmakers assigned committees for upcoming legislative session

State lawmakers have been given their committee assignments for the upcoming 2023 legislative session.  

District 8 Senator Casey Crabtree is the incoming Senate Majority Leader.  He will also chair the Senate State Affairs committee and serve as Vice-Chair of the Senate Legislative Procedure Committee.  Crabtree will also serve on the Senate Commerce & Energy and Joint Legislative Procedure committees.

District 8 Representative Tim Reisch will chair the House Military and Veterans Affairs Committee.  He will also serve on the House Education, Judiciary, and Government Operations and Audit committees in the 2023 legislative session.

District 8 Representative John Mills will serve on the House and Joint Committees on Appropriations.

The 2023 legislative session starts on January 10th in Pierre.
