9th St Collision

The Madison Police Department responded to the report of an accident at  3:15 pm on Sunday to the intersection of NW 9th St and Hwy 81.  There were five vehicles traveling south when the lead vehicle slowed rapidly and turned its blinker to turn east on NW 9th Street. This caused the next three vehicles to break hard to avoid a collision.  The driver of the last vehicle was unable to stop soon enough and stuck the vehicle in front of it causing a chain of collisions involving three vehicles.  

One vehicle was towed from the scene.  The drivers reported minor injuries but were not transported by ambulance.  The investigation is ongoing.
