76 new positive COVID-19 cases in SD Tuesday; no new Lake County cases reported
Statewide positive COVID-19 cases overall surpassed the eight-thousand mark Tuesday. 76 new positive COVID-19 cases were reported by the state Department of Health Tuesday, putting the overall total at 8019. Of those, there are 820 active COVID-19 cases currently in the state, 62 people are hospitalized, and 118 people have died.
The state reported two more people recovered in Lake County and no new positives as of Tuesday. Overall, the county has had 48 positive COVID-19 cases, with 39 of them recovered and one death, for a total of eight active cases at this time. There have been close to 800 negative tests in Lake County.
Elsewhere in the area, Brookings County currently has ten active COVID-19 cases, McCook County has four, and Kingsbury and Miner counties each have one active case at this time.
