Section of NW 7th Street in Madison Closed for Ongoing Construction Project

Starting this morning, a section of NW 7th Street between Egan Avenue and Blanche Avenue will be closed to public traffic. This closure is necessary for public and worker safety during sheet piling and riprap work related to the ongoing construction project on the Park Creek Walls.
The street will remain closed until the work is completed, which could take four to seven days. Traffic using NW 7th Street should plan to utilize a detour involving NW 5th Street to go around the closure. Traffic control including full roadway closure barricades and Road Closed signs will be set up for traffic safety.
