The Lake County Commission meeting was held yesterday. Some of the topics they discussed is the upcoming First Responder Training at the County Gravel Pit on Monday, October 9. They also Acknowledge 2 letters, one from Minnehaha County regarding the Juvenile Detention Center and entering a joining powers agreement. The other letter was from FEMA discussing a 90-Day Appeal Period for Flood Hazard Determinations. Banner Associates also gave their update on bridge inspections explaining that 12 of Madison’s 17 bridges were in good condition and 5 were in fair condition.
Administrative Officer Shelli Gust told the Commission more about the EDA Grant Award that the City of Madison was awarded and what they plan to do with the grant money.
The next Lake County Commission meeting will be on Tuesday, October 17th at 9am in the commission room in the Lake County Courthouse.
