Lake County Commissioners Meeting

The Lake County Commission discussed and Finalized the the Fiscal Year 2024 Budget at their meeting on Thursday. Commission Chair Kelli Wollmann spoke more about the approved budget and where it can be reviewed.

The commission also discussed the proposed 5 year Highway & Bridge Improvement Plan. The county in collaboration with the highway department made the 5 year plan with the hope of being eligible for bridge grant funds. Administrative Officer Shelli Gust spoke on some budgeting concerns with the project 

The Commission also canvassed all the election results from the special election regarding the opt out. They also officially retired the county’s K-9 Unit Newk (Nuke) who will live with his handler from now on.
