The Madison City Commission held their first meeting of the year Tuesday night.

At the meeting the commission dissolved Tax Increment District Number 1. City Administrator Jameson Berreth explains.



Berreth also talked about  the city purchasing the First Bank & Trust Sportsplex from the LAIC. 



The commission discussed the spring election and once again the City and School Board will hold a joint election in 2024 with an election day of April 9th.  Two Commissioners seats are up this year; Jeremiah Corbin and Kelly Dybdahl.  (Dib dahl)


City Finance Officer Sonya Wilt announced her resignation at last night’s meeting.  The commission appointed Jameson Berreth as the Interim Finance Officer.   


Also at last night’s meeting the commission approved the second reading of Ordinance 1664 involving regulating duck ownership in city limits. 


Due to Martin Luther King Day on Monday the 15th, the next Madison City Commission meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan 16th at 5:30 pm in the Commission room in City Hall
