1-2-24 City Agenda

The Madison City Commission will hold their first meeting of 2024 tonight. Commissioners will hold a 2nd hearing on an ordinance to permit and regulate the keeping of ducks within city limits, and a resolution to dissolve Tax Increment District Number One.

The Commission will also discuss purchasing the former Runnings building, now the newly renovated “First Bank & Trust Sportsplex”. In September of 2022 the City and the Lake Area Improvement Corporation agreed that the LAIC would complete the recreation building conversion and demolish and remove the dilapidated structures. The City would then purchase the entire property. The Sportsplex is now complete and ready for operation. 

These and other items make up the City Commission agenda. The meeting begins at 5:30pm today in the Commission Room at Madison City Hall.
