The Lake County Commission held their meeting yesterday. The commission reviewed the LAIC’s request for contribution funding for the Washington Ave/ 455th Ave. The LAIC asked the county for $50,552.67. Brooke Rollag with the LAIC spoke more on the project
The County ultimately decided to table the discussion regarding the proposed funding, the LAIC will be back on the Commission’s agenda on Feb 20thThe County also decided on an auction date hosting the auction for the gravel pit known as the “Russian Gravel Pit” on February 20th at 9:30 AM with a starting bid of $2,500 per acre.
They also talked about reviewing countywide fees, which involves adjusting several county fees to be in line with the county’s current budget and be a potential funding source for the county which Commissioner Dennis Slaughter spoke more on
No action was taken regarding increasing fees at the meeting but discussion and action regarding adjusting fees will be brought up in future meetings
The next Lake County Commission meeting will be held on February 6th at 9:00 AM in the county commission room at the Lake County Courthouse.
