SDSU Extension is currently not able to offer private or commercial pesticide applicator testing at the SDSU Extension Regional Centers and county extension offices as we comply with the executive order from Governor Noem.  At this point, SDSU staff continue to work remote through May 15th. When offices can re-open, information will be shared on how pesticide testing will resume.
Due to the spread of COVID-19 all remaining South Dakota private pesticide applicator in-person trainings will be replaced by online testing. Private applicators needing re-certification or initial certification should take the online test. Visit https://apps.sd.gov/doa/
The South Dakota Department of Agriculture is currently working on a temporary option for new commercial applicators or existing applicators with expired licenses. Guidance will be forth coming.  SDSU Extension will communicate that information as soon as it becomes available.
