Fall Sports practice getting underway for high schools

For some student athletes around the state, the Fall sports season is underway. Monday marked the first day of practice for 11B and 9-man football. Girls Tennis and Boys Golf practice is underway was well. This Thursday will also mark the first allowable practices for volleyball, cross country, and the other three classes of 11-man football. 

For Madison High School, the first competition of the season is coming up this weekend. The Bulldog girls tennis team will travel to Rapid City this weekend for the annual Rapid City Invite, Friday and Saturday. The boys golf team kicks of their season on Monday, taking part in the West Central Invite at Central Valley Golf Course. 

Bulldog volleyball begins their season at home on August 29th, taking on Flandreau. The cross country teams start the year by hosting the John Collignon Invite on Friday the 30th. Later that day the Bulldog football team will host Dakota Valley at Trojan Field.
