Walsdorf Earns Player-of-the-Week Honors for Third Time this Season

Savannah Walsdorf of Dakota State was tabbed to the final edition of the NSAA Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week. It was her third time this season that she was named to the conference weekly honor.

Walsdorf posted her third consecutive double-double in helping the Trojans to their 13th consecutive victory on February 16th, defeating Bellevue 69-51. The victory also wrapped up DSU’s third straight NSAA Women’s Basketball regular-season title outright.

Walsdorf scored 19 points and collected 11 rebounds in the game for DSU, going 7-of-12 from the field. She dished out two assists and stole the ball twice.

In last week’s game, Walsdorf surpassed Kylie Westover as the sixth all-time scoring list, tallying up 1,420 points before last night’s game.
