Avila dropped their fifth straight game after going 0-3 record in the three-game series with Grand View at home.
DSU owns a 2-1 all-time series record with Avila, including the season series split last season. The Trojans won the series opener on February 23rd, 2007 by the score of 5-4. The Eagles shut down DSU 8-0 in the 4-game series opener on February 11th, 2022, while the Trojans won the second game 4-1.
The final two games of the series were canceled due to poor weather conditions.
The Trojans’ first home scheduled contest is slated for March 31st-April 1st in a North Star contest against Presentation.
Dakota State plays a total of 12 games during the month of February away from Madison, including a tournament held in Joplin, Missouri, next weekend in the four-game Joplin Invitational.
