Conner Tordsen of Dakota State was named to his third NSAA Men’s Indoor Field Athlete-of-the-Week in the final edition of the award. It was also the second straight week he won the award.
Tordsen tossed a pair of national qualifying marks in the South Dakota State Indoor Classic.
He threw his second furthest weight throw in school history, tossing 61 feet, 1.5 inches to place fourth in the event. His weight throw toss is also the NAIA ‘A’ automatic qualifying toss.
Tordsen added the NAIA ‘B’ provisional mark in the shot-put, throwing his personal record of (50 feet, 6.75 inches for the Trojans. He tied for the second farthest throw in school history.
He was ninth in the shot-put event, and was the top NAIA place finisher in both events.
Tordsen will be competing in the 2023 NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held at the SJAC on March 2-4.
