Nate Van Asperen Named Assistant Coach With Dakota State Football

Dakota State Football Head Coach Josh Anderson announced Wednesday the addition of Nate Van Asperen to the football coaching staff. Entering his first season with the Trojans as an assistant coach, he will be working primarily with the offensive line. Before coming to DSU, Van Asperen was the tight ends and running back coach at NCAA Division II Southwest Minnesota State for two seasons and also held the position as the assistant offensive line coach during the 2019 season. He played collegiate football at SMSU, playing 22 straight games at guard and center.  He received the “Ben Bundy” Lineman of the Year following the 2018 season.
