As reported at the end of last week, the NAIA has announced it will be slightly shortening its Fall sports season. The governing body has reduced the number of contests and when teams can begin their respective seasons. Team practices for the fall can begin on August 15th and contests for Fall sports can commence on September 12th. Dakota State is working on altering their schedules for the two sports that are affected by the latest changes, as Football has been limited to 9 total games in the regular season and Volleyball is capped at 22. We will continue to report on this story as decisions are made and schedules are altered to reflect the changes made by the NAIA.
