Multiple Trojans Earn NSAA All-Conference Honors

With the NSAA Indoor Track and Field Championships last weekend, the NSAA has announced the All-Conference teams and other postseason awards, with a number of Trojans from both mens and womens teams being recognized.

Treshawn Roberts of DSU was named as the NSAA Most Valuable Performer for the men’s, after helping the Trojans repeat as conference champions. He was also voted as the men’s most valuable athlete, by the league’s coaches.

Earning All-Conference honors for the DSU Women’s team were: Gabriella Peitzmeier (Weight Throw), Lindsay Roth (1-Mile Run and 800-Meter Run),  Madelyn Sylva (1-Mile Run), Raylee Wallis (400-Meter Dash), Lahna Matucha (Pentathlon), and the 4×400-Meter Relay team of Raylee Wallis, Shaylee DeBeer, Saddie Palmquist, Lindsey Roth.

Matucha also earned the Champions of Character award for DSU.

For the men’s team, along with having both “Most Valuable Performer” and “Most Valuable Athlete”, the Trojans also had the Coach-of-the-Year in Anthony Drealan.

The All-Conference athletes for the Trojans were: Kaleb Scott (High Jump), Treshawn Robers (Pole Vault, 60-Meter Hurdles, and Heptathlon), Caleb Roberts (Pole Vault and Heptathlon), Conner Tordsen (Shot Put and Weight Throw), Jacob Joachim (Weight Throw), Taylor Myers (5000-Meter Run and 3000-Meter Run), Colter Elkin (5000-Meter Run and 3000-Meter Run), Riley Greenhoff (60-Meter Dash and 200-Meter Dash), Roger Oliete Tejedor (600-Meter Run and 800-Meter Run), Evan Slominski (1-Mile Run and 800-Meter Run), Trey Reindl (400-Meter Dash), and Caden Gortmaker (Heptathlon).

Dakota State also had the 4×800-Meter Relay team of Blake Schmiedt, Tucker Murtha, Curtis Johnson, Roger Oliete Tejedor named All-Conference. 

The Champions of Character Award for the Trojans went to Steven Greigg
