Dakota State University Head Volleyball Coach, Amy Veenhof, will be inducted in the 2020 Bethany Lutheran (Minnesota) Athletic Hall of Fame this fall. She will be officially recognized at the annual Hall of Fame banquet on Friday, Oct. 2 in Mankato, Minn.

Veenhof played volleyball from 1998-99 and softball in 1999 and 2000 for Bethany Lutheran. In volleyball, the Vikings were two-time Division champions, two-time Minnesota Community College Conference (MCCC) champions, and two-time regional champions.

Individually, she was honored as a two-time All-State honoree, two-time MCCC All-Tournament, two-time MCCC First-Team All-Southern Division, a two-time member of the All-Region team, and an Honorable Mention All-American in 1999.

On the diamond, Veenhof was a member of the Bethany squad that won Division champions twice and captured the MCCC conference title two times. Individually, she was a two-time MCCC All-State selection, named to the MCCC All-Tournament team both seasons, a two-time MCCC First-Team All-Southern Division and two-time All-Region honoree.

After graduation, Veenhof went on to play volleyball and softball at Huron (S.D.) University and received Academic All-American honors.

Veenhof will be entering her 12th season as DSU volleyball head coach this fall. She holds the all-time wins total as the head coach in Trojan volleyball program history. She guided her squads to double-digit victories nine times in the last ten seasons, accumulating a total of 160 wins during her coaching era at Dakota State.
