DSU’s Trout Nominated For Cliff Harris Award
Dakota State University Senior John Trout has been nominated for the 2019 Cliff Harris award, an award that is handed out to the nation’s top small college defensive player. Trout is one of 30 nominees for NAIA level, finalists will be announced this weekend and the winner on the 23rd. It is the seventh straight season that the Trojans have had a player nominated for the award.Â
Trout finished his DSU career with 239 tackles and his stat line this year included 74 total tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.
