DSU’s Roberts Sets School Record in Heptathlon

On Saturday, Treshawn Roberts achieved a new DSU school record at the SDSU Holiday Invitational and Multi-Events. 

Roberts kicked off the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.63 to collect 829 points. He then dominated the pole vault, clearing 13’9.5” to add 673 more points. Then in the 1000-meter run, Roberts clocked a time of 3:02.75 to record 638 points.

Roberts, who was awarded an All-American in the 2022 NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championship, clinched the NAIA qualifying mark at the SDSU Holiday Invite, while also achieving the DSU school record mark of 4917 points. He finished second overall and broke his previous school record of 4,721 points in 2022. 

Dakota State finished 10th in the men’s team and the women placed 7th overall in the two-day meet. Full results from the two day meet can be found here.

DSU will take a month off before returning to the track when they take action again on Saturday, January 14th in the Mount Marty Opener.
