DSU’s Comeback Falls Short in Loss to Waldorf

Dakota State scored 21 unanswered points in the second half, but a late score by Waldorf secured a 26-21 victory over the Trojans. Ja’Sem Atonio saw the majority of snaps at quarterback Saturday afternoon, replacing injured Zach Brooks. He was 17-24 with 177 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for two scores in the loss. Connor Tordsen ended the day with two sacks, totaling 27 yards. Defensive Back Noah Guse also had a first half interception for his first of the season. DSU drops their first conference game of the season and is 3-2 overall. The Trojans play Dickinson State next Saturday.
