Trailing by 11 points midway through the third quarter, the Dakota State Women roared back with a 26-8 scoring surge for a span of nine-and-half minutes to hold off host Mayville State 64-59 in North Star Athletic Association play. The Comets hit back to back three’s late in the fourth quarter to pull within one, but DSU scored the final four points to seal the win.

Savannah Walsdorf had a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead DSU, who overcame a poor shooting night. The 21st-ranked Dakota State extended their historic winning streak to 13 games, raising their overall record to 17-3. The Trojans remaining perfect in the North Star Athletic Association play with a 9-0 record and will host Presentation and Mayville State this weekend at the Fieldhouse.
