The Dakota State Women’s Basketball team saw themselves down by double digits in the first half, but rallied to pick up a home win over Mount Marty, 74-63, on Wednesday night. It was the first win at home versus the Lancers since December 30th of 2004 and snapped an eight game losing streak versus said team. 

DSU trailed 39-35 at half-time and did not lead until late in the third quarter, using an 11-0 run to go up 56-55. A strong fourth quarter propelled DSU to the victory, outscoring Mount Marty 18-6 in the final frame. Savannah Walsdorf posted a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds, Morgan Koepsell also had 16 points to go along with nine rebounds and three blocks. 

Trojans held the Lancers to 35 percent shooting in the game, picking up their seventh victory of the season on their final non-conference match-up of the regular season. DSU will be back in action tomorrow, resuming conference play, as they welcome in Waldorf to the Fieldhouse.
