The Dakota State University Trojan cross country teams prepare for the 2020 North Star Athletic Association Cross Country Championships today. Dakota State is the host for this year’s conference cross country championships. The meet is located at Madison Country Club. The women’s 5K race is set to kick off at 11 am, with the men’s race to follow at 12 pm. There will be an awards ceremony following the completion of the men’s race at the Madison Country Club. Six North Star Athletic Association members are scheduled to run.

 

For the second time this week, the DSU Women’s Basketball team knocked off a top-25 team, defeating host Concordia (Nebraska) 94-82 at the Cattle Classic in Seward, Nebraska. The two sides were tied at 17 after the first quarter, the host Bulldogs would lead for most of the second before a late surge gave the Lady T’s a 42-39 halftime lead. The second half saw a few different bursts by Dakota State to pick up the victory, who shot 48 percent in the contest. Five players scored in double-digits, led by Jessi Giles’s 30 point effort. Elsie Aslesen picked up a double-double, 17 points and 12 rebounds.

Lady T’s will be back in action today, taking on 20th ranked Caroll College at the Cattle Classic.
