DSU to Honor 50th Anniversary of Boot Hill Bowl Championship Team at Homecoming

Dakota State will honor the 50th anniversary of the Boot Hill Bowl Championship team on Saturday at halftime of the Trojans’ conference battle with Mayville State. The Dakota State College Trojan football team made history on December 4, 1971, as they were the first college football team from South Dakota to ever win a postseason bowl game.  In 2001, the Boot Hill Bowl championship team was the first athletic team to be inducted into the Dakota State University Athletic Hall of Fame. DSU’s Homecoming game kicks off at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday on Jammin’ Country FM103.
