DSU Summer Football Team Camp

During the summer is the most crucial time of year for football teams, and the Dakota State University’s football program has an opportunity for high school teams to sharpen their skills with their team camps.

DSU will host two team camps next week, with their 9-Man team camp on July 25th and 26th and the 11-Man team camp on July 27th and 28th. Cost of the camp is $120 per player for residents, and that includes the camp, meals, and housing, and $80 per player for non-residents with no meals or housing included.

Trojans Head Coach, Josh Anderson, says that the camps give coaches a chance to do some install while also giving them an opportunity to see where certain kids fit and are good at.

There is a benefit for Anderson and his staff as well when it comes to the team camps as it helps with regards to recruiting.

The camp includes an hour for offense and an hour for defense with DSU coaches, where the Trojans coaches teach them different drills and techniques. The teams that attend will also get a chance to scrimmage each other, but the most competitive part of the camp might be the Trojan Challenge.

The winning team to stay on the field will get to take home a trophy from the Trojan Challenge.
