After dropping a pair of tight contests on Friday at the Presentation Dome Tournament, the DSU Softball saw themselves in the same situation on Saturday. In their first game, taking on 22nd ranked Morningside, they out-hit the Mustangs (7-6) but fell 5-1. The lone run for Dakota State came in the fifth inning on an RBI-single from Sarah Torres. Madison Aldendifer took the loss in two innings of work for the Lady T’s.

In Game Two, Jamestown pounded out 17 hits on their way to a 6-3  win. DSU trailled 5-1 before rallying with a pair of runs in the both off the sixth inning, Faith Danner had an RBI double and Elizabeth Whitesides an RBI sacrifice fly in the frame. Danner went the distance but took the loss for DSU. They will be back at the Dome in Aberdeen this weekend for four more games.
