DSU Sending 8 Athletes to NAIA National Championships

The Dakota State University Trojan indoor track & field teams will be sending eight athletes to the 2023 NAIA National Championships, starting today and lasting through Saturday. 

The national meet is hosted by Dakota State, which will be held at the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex for the second straight year and fourth time in the last five years.

The first day of the national meet will feature multi-events and long distance running events semifinals. 

Five DSU athletes will be in action with Treshawn Roberts competing in the heptathlon, with the first event scheduled for 12:30pm. He will compete in four different events on Thursday and concludes on Friday with three remaining events. 

The Trojan men’s 4×800-meter relay team is set for Thursday at 4pm. Fane Sauvakacolo is scheduled to run in the 60-meter hurdles on Friday at 12:35pm and triple jump on Saturday at 10am.  

Saturday is designated as the NAIA National Championship day with numerous national finals scheduled.
