Playing in their final home game of the regular season on Tuesday Night, the Dakota State Men’s basketball team came up just short to Nebraska Christian College, 65-61. The visiting Sentinels held a four point advantage late in the first half before ending the first 20 minutes on a 7-0 run to lead 37-26 at halftime. The lead grew to 15 points in the second half before DSU went on a 21-4 run to reclaim the lead at 51-49. NCC would pull away late in the game, to pick up the non-conference win in the second all time meeting between the two sides.

In what has been a theme for the season, Dakota State once again played short handed, without the services of Josh McGreal and Anthony Costello. Brady Van Holland and Carson Rentz each had 15 points for the Trojans, while Brady Elder had six points and five assists. Elder now has 289 career assists which puts him fifth in school history. DSU Basketball will be back in action on Friday, wrapping up the regular season at Bellevue.
