The NSAA Indoor Track & Field Championships were held on Saturday in Brookings. For the second year in-a-row the DSU Men captured the championship while the Women placed fourth. 

The Trojans Men captured nine individual events as well as a relay. Tyler Moulton set a school record with a 53 feet 1.75 toss in the weight throw and then a runner-up/national qualifying throw in the shot put at 50 feet 6.75 inches. Maxwell Cruse set a new conference record in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 15 minutes 6.29 seconds. Cruse and Moulton will be joined by Braden Curnow, Joshua Snook and Treshawn Roberts at the National Meet.

The Lady T’s were highlighted by the 4 by 800 team setting a new conference record with a time of 10 minutes  23.16 seconds. The team consisted of Mallory Aughenbaugh, Christanna Green, Ashley Robinson and Madison Whitcomb. Traia Hubbard claimed the title in the weight throw with a mark of 51 feet point 25 inches, which was also a school record and Jobi McCreary was runner up. Lahna (layna) Matucha claimed runner-up in the high jump, clearing 4 feet 11 inches, Jada Anderson captured runner-up honors in the 5,000 meter run and Robinson was runner-up in the 3,000 meter run. Hubbard will represent the DSU Women at the National Meet.
