Three players from Dakota State Athletics were named to the North Star Athletic Association Players of the Week on Monday.

DSU Football’s wide receiver Cooper McDermott received the Offensive Player of the Week, while defensive back Jay Skogerboe was named the Special Teams Player of the Week. McDermott had seven receptions for 130 yards in Saturday’s blowout win over Iowa Wesleyan. He had a game-long 71-yard reception that led to a field goal. On special teams, Skogerboe ran back an 81-yard kickoff return touchdown. This was his first collegiate kickoff return. The Trojans are 5-3 overall record this season and 4-2 in the NSAA.

DSU Volleyball’s Maddie Polzin was named Attacker-of-the-Week in the NSAA. She had 44 kills last week, including a pair of double-digit. The Trojans went 2-1 last week.
