The Dakota State Women’s Basketball team picked up another stout victory at the Dakota Clash on Saturday, defeating Valley City State 94-52. The Lady T’s shot over fifty percent in the contest and outscored the Vikings in all four periods, including leading 26-13 after one and 45-25 at the break. Six different players scored in double-digits for Dakota State, led by Savannah Walsdorf with 19. The victory upped DSU’s record to 6-3 and they will be back in action on Saturday, December 5th – hosting Bellevue in NSAA play.

DSU Men’s Basketball started their season on Saturday, hosting Manhattan Christian. The visiting Thunder outscored the Trojans 39-31 in the second half, on their way to a 72-62 victory. After a tight first half, the Trojans found themselves playing catch-up for most of the final 20 minutes. Gavin Schipper shot six of nine from downtown to lead the Trojans with 20 points. Manhattan Christian outscored DSU 36-12 in the paint. Now at 0-1 on the season, the Trojans will return to action on Friday, traveling to take on Midland (Nebraska).
