DSU Baseball Loses Two in Doubleheader with Bellevue

The Dakota State baseball team  was unable to hold on to their lead as Bellevue (Neb) exploded for 11 unanswered runs in the fifth and sixth innings, earning a 17-7 victory in seven innings in the first game  doubleheader  Tuesday afternoon.  The Bruins stretched its winning streak to seven games after holding off the Trojans 3-2 in the second game.

Dakota State fell to 12-13 overall and 5-5 record in league play.  Bellevue lifted their overall record to 26-10 and currently leads the North Star with an 8-2 record.

Both teams will play their second NSAA doubleheader at Flynn Field on April 20.

The Trojans conclude their 11-game road stretch on Friday and Saturday, continuing their North Star action with a four-game series with Mayville State (N.D.).  The series begins on Friday with a doubleheader at 1 p.m. and another doubleheader on Saturday at 12 p.m., held on the campus of Mayville State University.
