Dakota State Volleyball pulled off an upset against #8 Bellevue, beating the Bruins 3-2. The Trojans trailed after the first set, losing 25-23. DSU fought back to win sets two and three, 20-25 and 16-25, while the Bruins won the fourth 25-17. In the fifth and final set, DSU finished the set and match with an 8-15 win. Maddie Polzin had 15 kills and the team had a season-high 16 blocks. The Trojans improved to 13-5 and 5-3 in North Star matches, and handed Bellevue only their second conference loss and fourth on the season. Dakota State’s next match is Tuesday, October 19 against Mount Marty.
