A historic season came to a close on Saturday for the Dakota State Volleyball team as they dropped their opening round match-up in the NAIA National Tournament to University of Saint Mary 3-0. A low attack percentage in the match was the downfall for the Lady T’s as the set scores were: 25-17, 25-22, 25-18.

Barbara Briceno produced a double-double in her final game for DSU with 11 kills and 15 digs, Samantha Zell had 10 kills and Rachel Johnson had 17 assists in the game. The Dakota State Volleyball team made it to the National Tournament for the first time in program history as well as being ranked in the Coaches Poll for the first time.

The Lady T’s finished their season as runners-up in the regular season and conference tournament in the NSAA, with a 19-13 season.
