Dakota State Softball Kicks Season Into High Gear This Weekend
Dakota State Softball will get their season underway this weekend, getting in games at the dome on the campus of Presentation College. They will have eight total games over the next two weekends up in Aberdeen, with four GPAC opponents on the schedule for this weekend. The Lady T’s begin their first season with Head Coach Rachel Fricke and will look to improve upon their 9-35 record from last season and have two seniors on the team.Â
It will be a rigorous spring, as 60 games are on the schedule. DSU Softball has a trip to Arizona scheduled for March and their first home games are slated for March 25th versus Briar Cliff University. The NSAA Tournament is to be held in Valley City, North Dakota the first three days in May. Dakota State Softball was chosen to finish seventh in the North Star Athletic Association Coaches’ preseason poll.
