Dakota State Athletic Commitments This Week

This week was a big week for Dakota State athletics, for not just the athletes that currently play sports for the Trojans, but for future Trojans as well. 

DSU Athletics received a number of commitments from student-athletes this week, with Bria Wasmund from Sibley-Ocheyedan High School in Silbey, Iowa starting off the week with her commitment on Monday. Wasmund is a point guard at Sibley-Ocheyedan High School.

The Trojan Men’s Track and Field team received commitments from three runners this week as well, with Ben Witt from Burke, South Dakota, Bryant Paulsen from Marshall, Minnesota, and Issac Jaacks from Elkton, South Dakota all committing this week. 

Witt is a 400 and 800 runner along with being a Long Jumper. Paulsen is a High Jumper and runs the 300 Hurdles, and Jaacks is also a hurdler. 

Other commitments received this week include Dylan Behymer, Football Defensive Lineman from Buckeye, Arizona, and also a baseball transfer in Johan Freundenberg. Behymer is a JUCO commitment from College of the Desert. Freudenberg, meanwhile, is a RHP from Kalispell, Montana and is transferring to DSU from NCAA D1 Coppin State University.Â
