A Late Fourth Quarter Score Pushes Dakota State to a 20-16 Victory Over Mayville State

Dakota State’s homecoming ended on a high note with a 20-16 comeback win at Trojan Field. After going down with an injury in the first half, Zach Brooks came back to start the second half and ran the first play for 57 yards. The very next play, Brooks pitched the ball to Cole Sylliaasen and the wide receiver threw a touchdown pass to tight end Travis Rebstock for the Trojans’ first score of the game. Brooks threw two more by the end of the game, including the game-winner to Michael Hybertson. The defense tallied three sacks and an interception by Jay Skogerboe, which set up the game-winning drive. DSU improved to 3-1 on the year and 2-0 in NSAA games. The team plays Waldorf next Saturday in Forest City, Iowa.
