7 Trojans Named a NAIA Football Scholar Athlete

The NAIA has published the 2022 Daktronics NAIA Football Scholar Athletes with over 900 student-athletes honored, and Dakota State has seven honorees on the list. 

In order to be nominated a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution. 

The seven Trojan honorees listed on the 2022 Daktronics-NAIA Football Scholar-Athletes are Collin Brueggeman, Cody Brown, Chris Guipi-Bopala, Brooks Jansen, Braxton Lacher, Austin Lake, and Cole Sylliaasen. 

The Trojans ended the 2022 season on a three-game win streak, finishing with a 6-4 overall record, and a 4-2 record in the NSAA.
