2022 NSAA Volleyball Preseason Coaches Poll

The 2022 NSAA Volleyball Preseason Coaches Poll was announced yesterday, with the Dakota State Volleyball team being picked to finish third this season in the conference. Bellevue was voted as the preseason favorite for the first time in eight years.

Coaches could not vote for their own teams in the poll.

Dakota State finished with a 21-9 overall record last season, the best winning percentage under head coach Amy Veenhof. The Trojans finished third in the North Star conference standings with a 9-5 record in 2021.

The Trojans advanced to the NAIA Women’s Volleyball National Tournament for the second time in a span of three years, falling short to Grand View (Iowa) in the opening round.

All eight NSAA members will be playing a 14-match schedule (7 matches at home and 7 matches on the road). The conference season begins on Wednesday, September 14th, with the Trojans hosting the preseason favorite, Bellevue, in the home opener at DSU Fieldhouse with a 6pm first serve.

The top six teams will qualify for the NSAA postseason tournament on November 11-12.

DSU makes their 2022 season debut in the Keiser (FL) tournament next weekend.
