10 DSU Volleyball Players Named NAIA Scholar-Athletes

The NAIA released the 2022 Daktronics-NAIA Women’s Volleyball Scholar-Athletes on Tuesday, and Dakota State has ten honorees on the list, the most scholar-athletes in a single season since seven women’s volleyball national scholar-athletes in 2021.

The 2022 list features 614 student-athletes that achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA at their institution. In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.

The ten Trojan honorees listed on the 2022 Daktronics-NAIA Women’s Volleyball Scholar-Athletes are listed below:

Brooklyn Grage, Madalyn Groft, Peyton Groft, Baylee Holmlund, Savannah Mares, Sydney Schell, VonnaGail Schlechter, Jenna Stengel, Hannah Thorsen, and Amy Uher.

The Trojans volleyball team finished the year 17-17 after losing to Presentation in NSAA Quarterfinals last month.
