VFW 14U Region 4 Tournament In Salem

Action at the VFW 14U Class B Region 4 Tournament in Salem got underway on Sunday. The double elimination tournament saw Salem defeat Canistota/Freeman, in the opening game, 7-4. Canova got by Alexandria 3-1, Parkston then defeated Salem 5-1 and in the first elimination game of the tournament, it was Alexandria with the 4-3 win over Canistota/Freeman.

The tournament continued on Monday night with two games, Canova defeated Parkston 5-3 in a semi-final game and Salem eliminated Alexandria 7-3. After a day off today, play continues on Wednesday evening. Parkston squares off against Salem in an elimination game, the winner then takes on Canova. Canova has not lost yet in the double elimination format.
