Three-Class Shoot-Out Results

The annual Three-Class Shoot-Out for high school girls and boys basketball teams was held Saturday at McCook Central-Montrose High School in Salem.

The “AA” girls and boys teams won the titles in the event.  

The “AA” girls team defeated the Class “A” team 85-77 and then the Class “B” team 79-76.  Cassidy Siemonsma of West Central was named the “A” girls MVP, scoring 14 points in the game versus the “AA” squad.  MVP for the “B” Girls was Caelyn Valandra-Prue of White River and for the “AA” girls was Brecli Honner of Harrisburg.

In both wins for the “AA” boys team, it eclipsed 100 points.  “AA” defeated “A” 126-97 and then defeated “B” 118-94.  Dillon Gestring of Vermillion was named the “A” boys MVP, scoring 16 points in the game versus the “AA” squad.  MVP for the “B” Boys was Isaac Sumption of Leola/Frederick and for the “AA” boys was Darin Lubbers of Harrisburg.

Tajh Two Bulls of Sioux Falls Washington won the dunk contest during the event.
