SDSU Announces Covid Policies & Protocols For Spring Football

SDSU Press Release – With the start of the spring football season right around the corner, South Dakota State University Athletics will implement a series of COVID-related series of policies and protocols for games at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium.

Tickets will be delivered digitally to attendees and fans are encouraged to use mobile tickets by logging into their Jackrabbit ticket account through a mobile-friendly source or on the Jackrabbit App. Print-at-home tickets also will be accepted. There will be no day-of-game walkup sales, nor will there be Will Call service at the stadium.

Season ticket holders will receive first priority to purchase available single-game tickets, beginning two weeks in advance of home games. Should any seats remain under the attendance restrictions in place for the spring season, those tickets will be made available to the general public the week of the game.

Current campus and Board of Regents policies regarding face coverings and social distancing policies remain in effect at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium. Face coverings are required in all areas of the facility except when fans are seated in their assigned outdoor seating pod location. Fans are encouraged to socially distance from those not in their household group whenever possible.

All four home games are slated for 2 p.m. kickoffs, with most parking lots and stadium gates opening at 1 p.m. Fans are encouraged to enter and exit through the appropriate location and at their assigned times based on seating location. Fans will be ushered out of the stadium at the conclusion of the game.

Parking will be open in lots surrounding the stadium, with the exception of the lot directly west of the stadium, which will remain reserved for premium seating patrons. The west reserved lot will open at 12:30 p.m. on gamedays. No tailgating is permitted in any campus parking lot this spring and limited concessions will be available in the stadium.

Starting this spring, a clear bag policy will go into effect at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium. All bags are subject to search.

SDSU students may access the stadium through the southwest student entrance by using their valid student ID. Students will be allowed to sit in pods of three in designated seating areas.
