SDHSAA Update

The South Dakota High School Activities Association has announced that all spring sports, practices or games, are cancelled through Sunday, May 3rd. This is in conjunction with Governor Kristi Noem keeping schools closed through May 1st.

It has been announced the Athletic Association’s board of directors will meet via teleconference on Friday morning at eleven. They will decide the future of the events that have been on hold the last few weeks and likely the decision for Spring Sports.

The meeting will be live streamed through the SDHSAA’s website. Spring activities will be discussed first, followed by the postponed Winter events. Should the Winter tournaments ultimately be cancelled, the Athletic Association will explore options for rewarding those who qualified.
