The South Dakota Golf Association is giving Seniors one last chance on the course with a showcase in Pierre coming up on Monday. All three girls classes as well as the Class B Boys, whose seasons were cut because of the pandemic, will get a chance to compete at the Hillsview Golf Course in the capital city. Minnesota and North Dakota are also hosting a senior showcase.
The one day event is hoping to bring at least 80 competitors, with awards being handed out per class as well as overall individual awards. Social distancing rules will be in place and there won’t be an award ceremony.
The senior showcase will take place on June 1, followed by the junior tour’s first event on June 8 at Central Valley Golf Course in Hartford. The only tournament moved back was a May 27 tournament at The Bluffs in Vermillion, which will now be played on June 10. Lakeview Golf Course will host its event on June 30.
