Regional Wrestling From Saturday
The Madison Bulldog Wrestling team competed on Saturday at the Region 1A meet in Watertown. As a team, they finished in fifth place with 132.5 points. Watertown finished in first place with 230.5 points. Individual highlights include: Caleb Hodges third at 106, Truman Stoller fourth at 120, Issac Henry second at 126, Sam Olson second at 138, Jess Englet fourth at 152, Sutton Bern fourth at 160, Riley Kearin fourth at 170 and Tyler Reck fourth at 285. All of the aforementioned wrestlers for Madison will advance to this week’s State Tournament in Rapid City.Â
In Region 2B, Canton took home first place as a team with 306 points, McCook Central/Montrose was second with 205 and Howard third with 183 points. MCM will have nine wrestlers at the State Meet and Howard will have eight.
