New Javelin Records for the Chester Flyers

The Chester Flyers competed in the State Javelin Competition held in Canton earlier this week, with new school records being broken.  

The Flyers had a combined six qualifiers for the event between the boys and girls teams. Qualifying for the boys was Logan Fods, JD Prorok, and Dalton Reiff. Serena Larson, Ramsie Shoenrock, and Lexi Siemonsma qualified for the girls

Prorok throw was not only 11 feet over his previous personal record, but also is now the new school record at 144’9. Prorok’s record breaking throw earned him a runner-up honor in the event. 

Larson’s javelin throw of 94’2  also earned her the new school record in the event along with a fourth place finish. 

The Flyers will compete in the Region Track and Field meet today starting at 10am in Bridgewater.
