Mudcats Lead with Five All-Tournament Players
The Dell Rapids Mudcats not only repeated as Class B Amateur State champions, but they also highlighted the Class B All-Tournament team with five players, including Tournament MVP Dalton Lehnen.
The five players from the Cornbelt Leagues Dell Rapids Mudcats to be named to the All-Tournament team were Lehnen, Kris Regas, Chad Hunt, Dalton Allen and Weston Hansen.Â
The Lennox Alpacas, also of the Cornbelt League, added three players. The three Alpacas to be named All-Tournament were Jay Green, Riley Hoffman and Drew Sweeter. Hansen (Mudcats) and Hoffman (Alpacas) were pick-up players for their tournament teams from Dell Rapids PBR.Â
Leading the way with the most selections from one league was the Sunshine League with 11 players representing the league. The Cornbelt League had eight total players.Â
Garretson, the state runner-up, had three players be named All-Tournament.
